Entirely local.

Lumen turns meetings into notes you can check, finds what you need in your files, and shows where your day went. Every model runs on your computer.

Preview on macOS today · Windows and Linux planned

Lumen’s real interface, shown with synthetic data and the built-in sample meeting.

Your data stays yours.

The AI runs on your computer

Lumen downloads its models once during setup. After that, transcription, notes, and search all run on the device.

No account, no telemetry

The AI has no network access. Lumen only goes online to download its models from Hugging Face.

You choose what it sees

Memory is off until you turn on a source. Pause it, exclude apps, or delete history at any time.

Features

Meetings

Notes you can check.

Lumen records your voice and the call, catches commitments as you talk, and links every note to the moment it was said. Before the next meeting, it shows what you agreed last time.

One bar for your files and meetings. Search by name, number, or meaning, or ask a question and get an answer with its sources.

Questions

Can I download Lumen?

Not yet. The first preview runs on macOS 14 or later with Apple Silicon, and Windows and Linux versions are planned. When it's ready, the app is about a 190 MB download, and setup downloads its AI models (about 6 GB) once. Request early access and tell us which platform you use.

Does anything leave my computer?

Your data doesn't. Lumen's only network request is the one-time model download from Hugging Face during setup, and it sends none of your files or recordings. There's no account or telemetry. A file leaves your computer only if you export it somewhere that syncs, or send it yourself. Privacy and permissions

Does Lumen track what I do?

Only if you turn it on. Calendar, app activity, and clipboard are separate memory sources, each off by default, with a visible pause, exclusions, and delete. Lumen doesn't capture screen content or browser history.

When does it record?

When you start a recording. Lumen records your microphone and, if you've allowed call audio, the other people on the call. Automatic recording is a separate setting, off by default. Importing a file never turns on the microphone.

How accurate is it?

The models have passed small evaluations with synthetic audio and files on one M1 Pro with 16 GB of memory. That isn't a measure of accuracy across languages, accents, or long meetings, which is why every note links to its source. Preview status

Is my data encrypted?

Lumen relies on your operating system's disk encryption, such as FileVault on macOS, and doesn't add its own. Lumen hasn't had an independent security audit.
